Withdrawals

Students who do not benefit from the school and make little progress may be asked to leave. Students caught cheating, bullying or bringing disrepute to the school by/through their undesirable habits will be expelled. Parents who wish to withdraw their wards must give a written notice of their intention to the principal. We are confident that except for purely personal or family reasons a child will not be withdrawn till he/she has completed schooling. But in case it becomes imperative to withdraw a child, it may be done subject to the applicable rules and regulations. The principal’s decision will be final in this regard.

Discipline

Students at A. G. Church School are encouraged to voice their opinion freely and frankly at various fora. however, we do insist that they do this politely and with decorum. The school forbids corporal punishment and has evolved a system of correction through democratic measures. When the school feels that a boy is unable to follow the rules in spite of corrective measure then the principal may suspend, or in extreme cases expel the boy. The principal decision on such matters is final and binding. Very often we found that parents themselves encourage indiscipline in the boys. For example the school forbids boys from keeping cash. Very often do we come across a person who is firm on this. We hope you will not be that one. The importance we place on discipline creates a happy and a cooperative environment that is conductive to the overall development of the students.

Academic Features of the School

The A.G. Church School (10+2) is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The public examination of the CBSE is held in March every year. The SSE examination is held at the end of class X and the AISSCE at the end of class XII. The school is divided into four sections. The primary school comprises of classes Nursery to V, the middle classes VI to VIII, the secondary school from IX to X and the senior secondary school comprises XI and XII. In primary school particular attention is given to language development and social skills, as it is the essential foundation for a sound future education. The role of the class teacher in primary school is very important as he/she is entrusted with both the academic and personal care of the students.
